Update regarding the search for our new parish priest

Since the departure of Rev Ben, the PCC has been working closely with the Salisbury diocese about the future structure of the parish (you will recall that there had been plans to join with Mere).  Agreement has been reached that Upper Stour and Maiden Bradley will share a priest – whose time will be roughly split 80% in Upper Stour and 20% in Maiden Bradley.

With logistics agreed, the Upper Stour and Maiden Bradley PCCs have produced a document which is being issued by the diocese to prospective candidates with a closing date in September.   Any potential candidates will visit the parish in autumn.    Thereafter, the diocese will appoint a priest who we expect to take up the position early in the new year.  They will live in The Rectory in Zeals.
