Welcome to our website

One Church, many Communities
Bourton, Kilmington, Stourton & Zeals

Four thriving village churches in the Parish of Upper Stour – three in Wiltshire, and one in Dorset – we are near to where the River Stour begins its journey to the sea, the four churches form the Benefice of the Upper Stour. The churches are here for all, whether you are a local resident or visitor, we invite you to come and enjoy the peace and beauty of our churches, to pray, to join us in worship, or simply to sit and be still.

As you will see, we have many activities, groups and events at which to meet other people, make friends and become encouraged to grow in the Christian faith. Our aim is to help people of all ages to encounter God, and to grow in a relationship with Him, through a variety of opportunities on Sundays as well as through the week.

On this website, you can also find out about getting married; having your baby baptised or arranging a funeral. For details of services on Sunday and at other times, please see the Services or What’s on? page.

Please feel free to contact the members of this parish church council via this website’s email link, if we may help you in any way.

Special Note: The Parish Office location is closed for the foreseeable future, but the Parish admin is working well. Please contact us (ideally by email) especially if relating to a  wedding or funeral parishoffice@upperstour.co.uk

or, if very urgent, the PCC Secretary on 01747 840149   Thank you
