‘Regular’ Giving – information & suggestions

Do you, like me, value our churches as the centre of our villages? They are here for everyone, whether you worship here, or not. It is here for our weddings, funerals, christenings and to turn to, when we want time for our spiritual selves.
Upper Stour is a community of four churches (Bourton, Kilmington, Stourton and Zeals) that works with our schools, the young and the old and, in addition to welcoming anyone to our church services, provides support in time of need.
Maintaining our churches, paying the running costs and contributing towards the stipend of our rector is always a challenge. Funds are raised from the regular donations by a relatively small number in our community, many of whom attend services, but certainly not all, alongside our fundraising activities.
This letter is to ask you if you would please join those who help maintain your church, by making a regular monthly donation. As the Parish is a charity, we can boost your gift by reclaiming from HMRC the tax, through Gift Aid. We would also love to hear from you if you would like to join with us and to use your talents in helping others and the church.
Donations usually range from £10 to £100 per month, and most regular amounts range between £25 to £50 a month. Any amount that you donate, will be greatly appreciated and, of course, kept confidential.
To see how you can donate, visit our website at https://upperstour.co.uk/donate or email in confidence to treasurer@agkemp.co.uk. Or you may also call Ashley Kemp on 01747 840272.
If you would like to talk to someone within the Church, about feeling alone or would like support for issues you are facing, please email the Rector, Graham Southgate at rector@uswmb.co.uk or call him on 01747 476316.
With best wishes,
George Bullivant
Vice chair of Upper Stour Parochial Church Council
